Next Steps

The working group agreed to work on the following issues prior to our next meeting:
The plan is to announce the draft mission statement and nominate candidates for the board of directors at the next membership meeting. We need to elect specific people to the board as officers in the following roles:
In addition to the officers we need to elect between 2-8 additional board members which will give us a total of 6-12 board members. The hope is to have the nominations made at the next membership meeting, followed two weeks later by a vote.

The first two tasks for the board will be the identification of the standing committees and the membership qualifications. We discussed these two issues and felt that it was a bit too soon to make any firm decisions.
